Legal AU Pty Ltd takes all commercially reasonable steps consistent with industry practice to protect your personal data by using established security standards and procedures. To prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction of your personal data, Legal AU Pty Ltd has established physical, electronic and managerial security procedures appropriate to the risks represented and the nature of the personal data to be protected. Our operations are reviewed monthly for compliance with our Privacy Policy. We communicate our Privacy Policy to all Legal AU Pty Ltd personnel and train them as appropriate in implementing it. Legal AU Pty Ltd personnel who depart from our Privacy Policy are subject to strict disciplinary measures, which may include termination of employment or association.
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd uses the highest level of SSL Certificate, which is a piece of software that encrypts all information moving to and from our website. HOW DO I REGISTER?
 
On the home page of Legal AU Pty Ltd, click “REGISTER” and a new page will open. Complete the required fields, accept the Legal, Privacy, and Terms of Conditions of use and click “REGISTER”.
 
DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE ALL FIELDS OF INFORMATION WHEN I REGISTER?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd recommends that you complete all fields of information when your register. This information will enable Legal AU Pty Ltd to provide you with a more complete service.
 
HOW DO I LOGIN?
 
Make sure you are on the home page. To get to the home page, click either the title name “Legal AU Pty Ltd” on the top left corner of the page, or at the bottom of the page, clicking the TAB, “Home”.
 
In the middle of the screen right hand side you will see the heading “Member Login”. In the first (upper) empty field enter your user name.
 
In the second (lower) empty field enter your password.
 
Then click “LOGIN” and you will be taken to your Members section.
 
WHAT IS MY USER NAME?
 
Your user name is your email address which you registered with Legal AU Pty Ltd.
 
I CANNOT REMEMBER MY PASWORD, WHAT CAN I DO?
 
Make sure you are on the home page. To get to the home page, click the title “Legal AU Pty Ltd” on the top left corner on the web page, or click the Tab on the bottom of the webpage that says, “Home”.
 
Then in the middle of the page right-side click, “FORGOT PASSWORD”. 
 
A pop up screen will appear.
 
Enter your email address and answer the secret question, then click “SUBMIT”.
 
Your secret question answer, is case sensitive.
 
You will be sent an email with specific instructions to follow.
 
You will have 3 attempts at the secret question. If you cannot answer the question correctly on all 3 attempts, you will be required to contact Legal AU Pty Ltd to verify your identity to gain access to your member details.
 
HOW DO I ASK A QUESTION OR REQUEST FOR LEGAL SERVICES?
 
Login to your member profile.
 
Choose the heading on the left side of the page “Ask Question.”
 
Select you service that you require, law area, price plan and enter your question or legal service request; then review and select the Terms and Conditions.
 
You will then be taken to Legal AU Pty Ltd Pre-Authorisation credit card processing page.

WHAT IS CLIENT FILE?

Client File, is where Legal AU Pty Ltd uploads extra communication content for the members file, which includes and is not limited to, document proofs, file notes, and other types of communication as and when required by Legal AU Pty Ltd, to keep the member totally informed on the progress of their matter.

When Legal AU Pty Ltd uploads a file to Client File, the member will receive an email notification advising to login to their member profile to review.
 
HOW DOES LEGAL AU PTY LTD CHARGE ME?
 
Payment for all services offered by Legal AU Pty Ltd is through the National Australia Bank Ltd credit card processing system on our website.
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd does not take any payment in advance for services provided to you. However, we will process your credit card for a preauthorization of the amount due and payable to us on your credit card as a guarantee of payment.
 
Preauthorization is a standard process of obtaining a guarantee that payment will be made after the service is completed. When preauthorization occurs, no funds are taken from your credit card, only a guarantee of an amount, for the service that you have booked.
 
When Legal AU Pty Ltd has completed your service request, your credit card is charged and debited the contracted amount for the service that has been provided to you.
 
DOES LEGAL AU PTY LTD HOLD CREDIT CARD DETAILS OF MEMBERS ON THEIR WEBSITE?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd does not hold any credit card details of Members.

I CANNOT FIND MY LAW AREA, OR DO NOT KNOW MY AREA OF LAW, WHAT DO I SELECT?
 
When you ask a question and you are not sure about your law area type, please select “Other.” Then write out as much detail as you like about your legal matter in the Question field. Legal AU Pty Ltd will then determine what legal area your matter falls into.
 
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A REPLY FROM LEGAL AU PTY LTD AFTER I HAVE SUBMITTED A QUESTION?
 
Your reply time is subject to the service you have booked.
 
Please review the details in your Members area under the subheading, “ASK QUESTION.”
 
HOW DO I KNOW THAT LEGAL AU PTY LTD GOT MY QUESTION?
 
Upon submitting your legal question or service request, you will receive an email from Legal AU Pty Ltd confirming your requirement.
 
HOW DO I GET LEGAL AU PTY LTD TO REVIEW MY PAPER FILE OR LEGAL DOCUMENTS?
 
Login into the Members section, proceed to “Ask Question”, and select “Other Services.” Then in the question field, type in details about the document:
 
1.     Document Name;
2.     Number of Pages;
3.     Is the document printed double sided;
4.     What do you require Legal AU Pty Ltd to do with the document;

Example: You may ask Legal AU Pty Ltd to review the document and advise on your best interest!
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd will then email you the service cost to review the document. If you are in agreement with that cost, you will be requested to complete the booking process through your Members section, “Ask Question.” Legal AU Pty Ltd will then email you an email address to send the document too.
 
I WOULD LIKE TO SEND A PAPER LEGAL DOCUMENT TO LEGAL AU PTY LTD, HOW DO I DO THAT?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd accepts all documents in email and facsimile format.
 
If you are not able to send the document by email or facsimile, you may send the document to Legal AU Pty Ltd registered office address, and Legal AU Pty Ltd will turn your document into electronic format for processing your service request. Legal AU Pty Ltd does charge a fee for this process. Please refer to Legal AU Pty Ltd Legal notices and Terms and Conditions of Use for further information.
 
SHOULD I SEND THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT TO LEGAL AU PTY LTD?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd recommends that you make a photocopy or scan of the original document, and then send a copy of the original document to Legal AU Pty Ltd. 
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd recommends Members to hold the original copy of documents.
 
WHERE DO I FIND MY COMPLETED SERVICE REQUEST BY LEGAL AU PTY LTD?
 
Login into the Member area.
 
Select “My Law Inbox”, and in this area you will find your completed service.
 
CAN I REVIEW ALL MY ANSWERS FROM LEGAL AU PTY LTD ON MY LAPTOP, TABLET OR IPAD?
 
Yes you can review all your files from Legal AU Pty Ltd on your laptop, tablet or iPad, anywhere and anytime with an internet connection.
 
HOW DO I REVIEW ALL MY PAST LEGAL REQUEST FOR QUESTIONS AND OTHER SERVICES?
 
Login to your Member area, and click on the heading, “Review Past Questions and Answers.” In this area you will see all your past service requests, and you can download all your documents.
 
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD ALL MY COMPLETED SERVICE REQUESTS?

Login to your Member area.
 
Select “Review Past Questions and Answers,” then select the service request that is holding your file. Click the blue magnifying class, under the heading, “Details”. Choose the file type that you want to download, right click that file and save to your drive.
 
HOW LONG WILL MY QUESTIONS AND SERVICE REQUESTS BE ACCESSIBLE ON THE LEGAL AU PTY LTD WEBSITE?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd advises that all member information will remain on Legal AU Pty Ltd secure server for 7 years.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I UPDATE MY MEMBER DETAILS?
 
Legal AU Pty Ltd recommends that you keep your Member details up to date at all times. This assist Legal AU Pty Ltd with providing you with secure and confidential services. 
 
CAN I DELETE MY ACCOUNT WITH LEGAL AU PTY LTD?
 
Yes you can delete your account with Legal AU Pty Ltd.
